Dr David J Field
David is married and has three grown up daughters. He runs his own materials science consulting business in Cheadle, Staffordshire.
As a Lions Club member, David recently led the Lions Eye Bus Uganda (LEBU) Project - a successful venture to convert a bus into a mobile eye surgery for cataract operations in rural Uganda in partnership with Link International Innovation.
Rachel Hall
Rachel is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist working in the NHS and currently lives in Sheffield. She first visited Uganda and Rwanda in 2005 with Tim Hall. She has returned three times since then seeking to support Ugandan and Rwandan people spiritually and emotionally as they rebuild their lives and recover from the trauma of war.
Rachel enjoys travelling to different cultures and also loves to sing too!
Lucy Czakan
A founder and director of several leadership and coaching businesses, Lucy has 15 years of achievement in the FMCG industry and 21 years running her own business and advising clients.
Lucy’s success in coaching and facilitation stems from her compassionate and candid approach and her absolute belief in the potential of her clients to succeed and a first-hand understanding of the pressures of corporate and entrepreneurial life. She works with ambitious entrepreneurs and business owners to unlock their potential and specialises in coaching and facilitation for high performance. She believes that a business with clarity of purpose and a clear brand positioning, can achieve so much more (both financially and emotionally). Not only will this mean their people will be happier, more engaged, motivated and inspired, they will also create more value for their customers, investors, shareholders and all their stakeholders. As well as working 1 to 1 with her clients she runs workshops, works with leadership teams, runs seminars and helps her clients run large team events.

Previous to this, Lucy worked globally for Unilever and Marlow Foods in marketing and innovation, managing purposeful brands such as PG Tips, Lipton, Birds Eye, Magnum, Colmans and Flora, she was involved in several large- scale takeovers and mergers, leading multi-million pound innovation projects and managing Global marketing initiatives. In doing this, what Lucy most enjoyed was achieving the alignment of the internal culture and people’s individual purpose, with the brand identity and the resulting success that this achieved.
David Ward
David brings a wealth of school leadership experience and a successful track record of supporting the varied needs of students with moderate and complex learning issues within a genuinely inclusive school environment with outstanding results. He has over thirty eight years’ experience in State and Independent schools across the UK and his previous leadership roles include Headmaster of Saint Felix School in Southwold; Headmaster of Skegness Grammar School in Lincolnshire; Principal of Bredon School in Gloucestershire; Director at St David’s College, North Wales. Headmaster at Crown House School in High Wycombe. Most recently Headmaster of Riverston School a leading Autism School in London, part of Chatsworth Schools before retirement in September 2023. He is currently a governor at the Unicorn School in Oxford and supports schools across the uk and abroad as a consultant. He has an MA in Educational Studies, is passionate about the Creative Arts and is a former professional Rugby player.
Rev Tim Hall
Tim’s career at St David's College, Llandudno, spanning 52 years saw him involved in many innovative areas of education. He pioneered a peer mediation scheme as a Trustee of Talkingworks and currently serves as a Trustee of 1Compass, a charity that supports children who struggle to attend school on a regular basis. Link International Innovation grew out of his commitment to changing the lives of young people both in UK and in the developing world. Since beginning the work in 1992, he has seen many lives radically changed through the experiences the Link programme has brought. Starting with little support, a growing network has developed and in partnership with Nkuru Nziza Foundation founded by John Njendahayo, a past student and friend of over 30 years, extraordinary work has been achieved. Volunteer trips to Uganda have been a part of the life of St David's College since 2005.
Currently Tim serves in the Church in Wales as Pastoral Chaplain and is involved locally in Change Management.
Opportunities for more young lives to be changed and to release them as global citizens, who can make things happen, together with seeing community transformation, is what keeps Tim fired up!
